Industrial Maintenance & Facilities Hiring Process
We appreciate your interest in the Industrial Maintenance & Facilities Team Member roles at Toyota Battery Manufacturing North Carolina (TBMNC) and look forward to you continuing the process. 

The next steps are a variety of assessments, detailed below, and then an interview with hiring managers. Please note that successful completion of each assessment is required to proceed to the next stage. 

Please refer to your confirmation email for complete details, including testing location, attire requirements, and rescheduling/no show information. 

Preparing for the assessment(s)

Every stage of the assessment process is focused on the skills needed for the Industrial Maintenance & Facilities roles. 
Online Technical Assessment
This assessment requires you to demonstrate your knowledge of skilled concepts such as basic electricity, electrical knowledge, fluid power, and/or mechanical knowledge. 

To prepare, many candidates find it helpful to go through an electrical reference book like Ugly's Reference Book. Additionally, focusing on ladder logic and understanding how to interpret those diagrams would be beneficial.

You will have 4 hours to complete this assessment.
Hands On Assessment
You will be asked to complete 3 hands-on assessments:
  1. Mechanical: Complete and troubleshoot a drive alignment mechanism.
  2. Electrical: Troubleshoot a set of circuits and a PLC component.  The goal will not be specific knowledge related to brands of PLCs, but ability to read and assess ladder logic, etc.
  3. Fluid/Power component: Construct and troubleshoot a pneumatic circuit.

You will have 4 hours to complete these assessments.
Interview
The interview is a conversation between yourself and one or more hiring managers from the various maintenance and facilities teams. You will be asked questions about your past job experiences and expected to answer with specific examples of situations you have encountered.

To prepare, think of past work experiences and the part you contributed toward the outcome. If you can, practice being interviewed.

Interviews are scheduled for 1 hour.
